Published Mar 21, 2019Though new material from A Tribe Called Quest is out of the question, Q-Tip is still at work on a host of different musical projects, including a project with Danny Brown.
Q-Tip revealed his involvement with the Detroit MC during a guest appearance on Elton John's Rocket Hour show on Beats 1 radio, XXL reports. Brown also appeared to confirm the news by sharing a screengrab on Instagram, which you can find below.
Brown's forthcoming album, which has yet to be officially announced, will mark his first since 2016's Atrocity Exhibition. In November of 2017, the rapper revealed he was at work on a follow-up effort, telling Complex that the album was "being produced by one producer, who's legendary in hip-hop. And it's gonna be a big deal."
In conversation with Sir Elton, Q-Tip also noted that he was at work on a trio of solo albums, in addition to a separate project with Mary J. Blige. In recent years, Q-Tip had teased a full-length titled The Last Zulu as the follow-up to his 2009 album Kamaal the Abstract.
