Kenneth Branagh Is Directing a Bee Gees Biopic
Kenneth Branagh has been revealed as director of a currently untitled Bee Gees biopic from Paramount Pictures.

Deadline reports that along with Branagh's involvement, eldest group member and brother Barry Gibb will serve as executive producer, following his participation in last year's HBO Bee Gees documentary How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.

News of the Bee Gees biopic first broke in 2019, following Paramount's purchase of the life rights to the Gibb family estate on behalf of Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King and studio Sister.

Deadline notes that the film's screenplay is presently being drafted by Ben Elton. He previously had a hand in 2018 British historical fiction film All Is True, which Branagh directed and starred in.

We recommend filmmakers look into hiring Dave Grohl as a falsetto consultant. Barry Gibb, who is also the last surviving Bee Gee, released a country album in January featuring Dolly Parton, Gillian Welch and Sheryl Crow.
