Published Apr 28, 2010Following a collaborative set at San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival earlier this year, indie folk songstress Mirah (pictured) and her like-minded cohort Thao have announced a joint North American tour.
Like the San Francisco show, these shows will see both women performing together. According to a press release, the duo "mix and match voices, songs from their respective catalogs, idea flashes, and dear friends to conjure a superband collaboration as accidentally intentional and charmed as a real-life love child."
The tour kicks off in Tucson on June 8 and concludes in Salt Lake City on July 7. In between, the pair will hit up Canada with shows in Montreal on June 25 and Toronto on June 26.
Mirah's last release was 2009's a(spera). Thao's was Know Better Learn Faster, also released in 2009. Once the tour has concluded, we wouldn't be too surprised if they ended up collaborating on some recordings together.
