AC/DC Are Set to Release Their New Album and Go on a World Tour: Report
It appears AC/DC are finally getting close to releasing their long-in-in-the-works new album. In fact, according to a new report, we may get the record as soon as February — plus a world tour.

Rumours about a new AC/DC album have been swirling ever since the band were photographed coming out of a Vancouver recording studio in 2018. Then in 2019, the group's engineer confirmed the group were indeed in the studio working on new material, adding that Brian Johnson would likely be handling vocals.

Now the rumours are getting a bit more specific, with Australian radio host Eddie McGuire saying AC/DC would be releasing their new album either in February or March, following it up by a world tour.

Here's what McGuire had to say:

My mail is there will be a new album released by AC/DC February/March this year, but also that AC/DC will be touring Australia October/November 2020. And after a lot of work and a lot of technical research, they have been able to get a hearing aid for Brian Johnson, who will be out front. And even Phil Rudd [drums] might be back in the group either playing percussion or drums with Angus [Young, guitar] so that they've got three of — well, not the originals, but three of the old-timers, if you like, back there. They've had a few changes over the journey, but Angus out front, Brian Johnson lead singing, and maybe Phil Rudd, after his issues that he's had in recent times.

So far, though, nothing official has been revealed, keeping this all in the "rumour" category.

In addition to Johnson and troubled drummer Phil Rudd likely being back in the band, the album is said to feature unused guitar tracks from late AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young.

AC/DC's last album remains 2014's Rock or Bust.
